The Siren Era..... New beginnings 2025
The “SIREN era”
Once upon a time, the siren was merely a figure of myth—her haunting voice carried across the seas, luring sailors into her orbit. But to see the siren only as a seductress is to misunderstand her entirely. I have been mesmerized by this creature as you can tell, with anything I do there is always a siren energy present in my work.
A Siren is powerful, unapologetic, and deeply authentic, commanding attention not with force, but with the resonance of her voice.
That voice, so captivating and unforgettable, didn’t shout to be heard. It whispered truths that couldn’t be ignored. The siren embodied a magnetic energy, a quiet confidence that said, “I am here, and you will feel me.” . I will repeat that, “ I am here, and you will feel me.”
But this isn’t just a story of myth; it’s a metaphor for us all.
Each of us has a voice—a song waiting to be sung. Life, with its chaos and its trauma, sometimes makes us forget how to sing it. The world tries to silence US, telling us to shrink, to conform, to stay small. And yet, the siren within us remains, waiting for us to remember her. I lost her and you could see it in my soul. I was not myself. I was a shell of a person, stuck in my own misery.
For me, the siren represents the power of owning our stories. Our voices are our greatest tools—carriers of truth, resilience, and connection. There’s a transformative energy in speaking our truth, in allowing our experiences to shape us rather than break us. The siren isn’t just a mythical figure; she’s a mindset, a way of stepping into the world with purpose and authenticity.
Many of you know that there has been a darkness in my life silencing me. Waiting for me to fail. I stood quiet for a long time, sting after sting, maybe it will go away. I realized it never would so I am emerging and turning this into a movement. In the meantime…. Please join The Dichotomy diaries. When I think of the siren, I think of trauma—how it can steal our voice, leaving us silenced by fear or shame. But I also think of healing. I think of the power in reclaiming our stories and recognizing that our pain doesn’t define us—it strengthens us.
My own siren energy has been a long time coming. For years, I let the world dictate who I should be, what success should look like, and how I should move through life. I silenced parts of myself to fit in, to feel safe, to meet expectations that weren’t my own. But the truth is, those expectations were never for me.
The siren calls for something deeper. She calls us to step away from what is holding you back and move toward what feels true. Her voice isn’t about seduction in the shallow sense; it’s about drawing others in with authenticity. It’s about using our voices to make a difference. To use our voice in numbers to not be silenced. To use our voice and tell our truths.
In 2025, I’m answering that call.
For me, this means creating spaces where others can find their own siren energy. It means using my art and my advocacy to help people tell their stories, to reclaim their power, and to see themselves in a new light. It means amplifying the voices of those who’ve been silenced, especially survivors of trauma, because their stories matter, their words are powerful, and their truths are valid.
This year, I’m leaning fully into this energy. I want to hear your story. I want to document it, feel it, and turn it into art.
So, here’s my question for you: Are you ready to answer your own siren’s call?
This year isn’t about playing small or staying silent. It’s about letting your voice carry, across whatever seas you choose to cross. Because your words can change lives, your story can heal, and your presence is unforgettable.
We will be continuing to support survivors of domestic violence. With each year in hopes to grow better and bigger. It all starts with a little seed and it grows. The Siren Gala will continue for years to come so please join us. The “Resilient Siren” art series launches NOW. If you want to be heard now is the time. I am combining my art with your voice. Let’s tell your story and join me.
This is the year of the SIREN.
My podcast will be continuing…. can not wait .
